The flicker of light has always been a problem. In this blog, we will discuss some reasons for the flickering of light. We decided to write this blog when one of our customers had a query regarding the flickering of lights. And we will also discuss how using LED lights will solve many of your lighting problems.

Well, having a natural light at your place is always bliss, but there are many areas or rooms where there is no natural light, there LED Lights are the best choice.

The cause behind the flicker

The truth is there is a number of reasons, but the good news is there is a number of solutions too.

If you have recently switched from a 15V halogen bulb to a 15V LED light bulb, then may the total sum of the new LED light bulb’s wattage be below the transformer’s minimum load and cause flickering. The transform is an important part of the fitting that converts 240V to 15V, which is the requirement of light.

You can replace the existing transformer with an LED Compatible transformer, or you can also increase the number of LED bulbs in the circuit to fulfill the minimum wattage requirement of the transformer.

The dimmer switch incompatibility could be the other reason. It is always suggested to use the best LED-compatible dimmer switch. The total wattage of the LED light should always be in between the maximum and minimum load of the dimmer switch; if this does not happen, it may cause flickering of light.

Swapping the traditional lights with LEDs

The best recommendation is to switch to LED lights to avoid flickering. Remember, LED lights are highly durable, and this change can benefit you in costing and energy saving. LED lights are far better than all the traditional lights like halogen or fluorescent. They last for a longer period of time which could be as long as 50,000 operational working hours.

There are several options available in the market. If you are a business owner, go for LED Panel Lights, and enjoy all the benefits of quality lighting.

To summarize, if you are facing a flickering issue, switch to LED lights without having any second thought.
